It was great to help out Severn Partnership this week with their new 3D Modelling website. 3D-Model.co.uk is The Severn Partnership’s specialist 3D modelling, 3D laser scanning, & visualisation department. The new website has been developed in-house using free open source software and looks really impressive.

We’ve been providing advice and guidance on helping Severn Partnership develop the site and how they can go about optimising it for the search engines. It was great to hear that despite the site only being live for a very short time it already has generated new leads for the new department.

I attended Think Visibility over the weekend and really enjoyed the search engine conference based up in Leeds. There are plenty of write ups and liveblogging of the conference out there, see Dave Chaffey’s liveblogging or read the write up by the guys at pushon.co.uk. West Midlands Businesses to Gain From Olympics

It was great to hear today that the West Midlands region has secured more contracts than any other non-London area, with over 50 firms sharing some of the £6bn funding according to Olympic authorities. Small businesses to large companies such as Cadbury’s have got involved with the games taking place in two years.

We will look forward to the USA and Jamaica teams being based in the region and hopefully they will bring a boost to the region in 2012.

There are many resources out there for West Midlands businesses to go for Olympic contracts, have a look at West Midlands for 2012 and see what’s going on in your area of the West Midlands.

They have grown and expanded to provide storage for artwork, film and video and computer backup tapes in a secure environment. On top of this they offer businesses confidential document destruction services.

Working with Central London Storage to help them become more visible in the search engines, should be fun improving the ranking of the website in local searches using the local services provided by the search engines and other means.
